Look what I found at Joann's.Com!!!!

It Is A Holiday Garland Featuring The Bells I Created !!!!

See it at Joann's

These were so much fun to make...The bells themselves and the berries are sugared with glue and glitter. The seam binding was soaked and wrung out with hubbies left over coffee : p. The lace at the bottom of the bells is actually doilies that were scrunched up in hand and vintage photo distressed within an inch of their lives....Be careful here as tearing is a issue. And burlap ribbon that we are in love with this year!..How fun is that? Now for the beautiful snowflakes and pine cones  created by Andrea Worthen with a one of the fabulous cricut cartridges.

DON'T OPEN DEAD INSIDE

Because it is October and Halloween we felt that it was okay to let our inner "freak" out over at the Stamping Chef!
And Tamara has drawn up another one of her amazing images that fit this very challenge.

Now I love Halloween and must say that I didn't watch this show for the first 3 seasons because I was afraid of all the Halloween scary stuff. But still "I love Halloween" So when my husband came in the door saying honey, tonight we eat dude food (frozen pizza) and  catch up on a show that everyone is talking about. I was thinking..Ohhh mannn, more left turns??  :/
But NO! It was Daryl and Rick and they were kicking zombie butt teaching me some learnin on how to survive the zombie apocalypse.
Clearly this is needed information and much appreciated!
We Love

Yes I know i have a alien mark on her....my marker slipped "}

What a way to Welcome the Halloweenie Season!!!

Today I have been at the table making friends with some Zombie pals of mine when someone...."tried" to take my adhesive! Dont'cha just hate that? So I fixed the problem and put his stealing arm on display to ward off others ") This will be a partial tutorial or inspiration on how to do a small amount of blood and guts so if ya'all are squeamish...this is not the post for you "9

The blood is plain old red dye of any kind  meaning alcohol ink , distress, or acrylic paint watered down then coated over with glossy accents....The real trick here is to soak gauze and stretch it out .

Put a label on it!!

Good Thursday Morning!
I wanted to share one of the areas of my house.
I love to decorate..I do....and if it has meaning or history then the pieces I use make me even happier.
You will see I have labeled my foyer with our name in 12" letters .
This was an amazing amount of fun and honestly while I was painting these they just looked cool splayed out literally everywhere")
The little wooden kiddy trike was my fathers when he was little...he is 73 today.
the small black pictures on the shelf are of my Grandmother Annabelle and her Sister Jenny when they were  teenagers. Ahhh Those wacky days that dad would let you and your sis take the horse and buggy to meeting alone. Wild ones there! ") The acrylic cog was given to me from a my dear friend Jackie (finder of great junk) .  I have a lot of my own work here. The bird house, file drawer , birdie cart , little burlap file boxes , and the little suitcase. These will all be linked to when I first posted them on here so you can get better detail. My fathers first pair of welding glasses still in the tin box carry case. My first peanuts book too (which I might add was released on my birthday October 2, 1963) so we sorta share a birthday. I love my creative world and hope you will too.
(Please excuse the bad shots I have been trying to home remedy my old camera)

Mini File Folders in Burlap!

No Foolin!!

DCWV has now introduced Burlap stacks..can you believe it!
They are pretty and fun to work with...
(not for couch pillows for those of you who have seen earlier post of mine :)

So today I have created a tutorial for you using our little 6x6 Burlap stack

Aren't they sweet?

You will need to make each mini file box

2 - 6x6 sheets  burlap paper
12- mini brads
1- label holder (optional)
Score board
bone folder and larger rounded scorer
scissors
TIPS
When cutting your burlap paper on a paper cutter do it burlap down: then take paper out and cut again with scissors. This will make for a perfect clean cut.
When scoring your paper: place paper burlap side down on board, score once with larger tipped scorer and then again with bone folder aka smaller tipped scorer. Again making your scoring line almost perfect. Please keep in mind that burlap is rough..if you score to fast you will skip your track from the texture and end up off where you wanted to be:P

Cut box paper 6x6 square
taking ruler to help steady on score board score in
1 1/2 " all around then again at 1 3/4 "

Cutting out the corner 1 1/2 inch square on each corner and mitering the corners fold in .

Bend in edges as seen and punch desired holes and secure with brads...this will take a little finesse.
The Lid

Cut another sheet 4 1/2" x 4 1/2 "
Score at the 1 " mark all around and the 1/2 " mark all around.
Fold and bone fold to straighten.

Trim corner on "ends only" and same! refold and secure with brads.

Whaaaa laaa!

I am in fact a Smarty Pants!!!

Today. I was bored...Yes I know what your thinking..
how can a girl that lives in craftopia be bored???
It happens.

So I surfed....(do people call it this still?) and stumbled upon IQ testing....
So as a joke (sorta) always worried about the Alzheimer's since mean-o-pause kicked in and scatter brain-ness is a normal part of my life.
I decided I would check and see.

Now I am not certain if these are accurate and mixing my IQ number with the fact that remembering that bra's generally don't fit well over robes or that stopping -walking long enough to not get the strap wrapped around an ankle :0....wellllll
Let's just say it's kind of sketchy!

But never the less It made me feel all smart for about 5 minutes and I want you to feel that way too...but for longer........"awkward"

IQ test  I tested 143 here

Free IQ test I tested 134 here

Who Freakin new I am in fact, according to random internet testing, a bonafide
Smarty Pants!
As you know...they can't lie on the internet. I also confirmed this with my
French model, cousin and his insurance company")

Have fun!

( I would like to tell you that all the type o's in this article were on purpose....
"internet":)

It's the Primrose stack !!!

Today I have made you a shadow box using the new stack from DCWV .
 The Primrose stack.

I used several different embellishment and cut outs that are featured within this stack...it comes with not 1 but 2 ephemera sheets with the measuring tape being on one of them !
This was so much fun! I hope you feel inspired:)

It's a Somerset keepsake book with DCWV!

This summer DCWV has released a whole new set of fabulous prepackaged cards with envelopes. I for one am uber excited as I use these for so many things...a quickie card to jot a note to my friends and family.  I also use them for bases for my challenge cards . The massive variety is so versatile. Today I have come up with another idea that I hope inspires you to do the same.

I have used the Somerset card set

Today I have made a card smash book with ribbon enclosure.

Using 8 cards taped together back to back and one layered for the cover.
It is easy and a fabulous quick gift.
ENJOY!
